Founded in 1932, Pietro's is a New York institution located in Midtown East. The irony is that I worked upstairs and across the street from Pietro's at different times in my career but I never paid attention to it. The restaurant's front facade is built into the side of an office building, so it is very easy to miss it. Pietro's offers lunch and dinner, complete from soups and sandwiches to premium steaks and seafood, with live entertainment on most nights. The restaurant has been Zagat rated, and has garnered distinction from Philadelphia Magazine's Best of Philly 2009 and also won Opentable.com Diner's Choice Award in 2009.
